Reading the recap of the meeting from last week in Appy, got a good dose of the same old same old from the usual crowd.
These people just do not get it. They have an inferiority complex when it comes to Big Stone Gap. IMO, that town deserves whatever it gets. The school board should put the school as far away from Appy as possible.
Every time someone from Appy speaks, it is always about sports. One of the quotes was really good. I don't have it in front of me, but it went something like, 'I've spent all my life hating those people, there's no way I'm sitting next to them during a football game!'.
You just can't make crap like that up. When there are adults making statements like that, it is little wonder we have kids going before the schoolboard and declaring themselves 'redshirt juniors'.
